With over 6.5 million Britons drinking 10 cups of tea or coffee per day the new Little Butler tap from
Franke is set to be an instant hit with people who love a brew.
The ingenious 'mini' tap, which can be positioned alongside the sink, delivers near boiling water by
simply pulling a lever.
John Swain, product manager for Franke, commented: "There's simply not enough time to boil the kettle,
make a drink and then settle back down to watch your favourite programme within the few minutes an ad break allows,
so the instant hot water tap will ensure a moment's soap saga is never missed."
The Little Butler tap is available in two designs - one dedicated to dispensing near boiling water and
the other offering both filtered, near boiling water and cold, filtered drinking water.
The Little Butler 2000 incorporates the premium-grade cartridge used in the Franke Triflow tap, and the
steaming hot water - reaching 88 degrees - is produced from a compact heating unit that fits easily beneath the sink.
John added: "Time saving appliances are becoming increasingly popular in today's modern kitchen and the Little Butler
tap, which can deliver up to 60 cups of hot water per hour, is set to become a must-have product, indispensable for
cooking, a quick coffee break or a bedtime drink.
"Like our Franke Triflow tap, we also believe that the model offering filtered water will become an extremely popular
choice - providing consumers with an alternative to bottled water, saving them carrying large, bulky bottles of water back from the supermarket and ultimately, being easier on the pocket."
The Little Butler tap will be available from early 2005 and retail prices are expected to start at £398 for the
hot water only model.
